Welcome to Sanctuary Farms

Providing Fresh Produce

At Sanctuary Farms, we are to committed to provide the freshest, most delicious produce to our customers. We believe that everyone should have access to healthy, nutritious food, and we work to make that a reality.

Sustainable Farming

We believe that sustainable farming practices are essential for the health of our planet and our customers. That's why we use natural fertilizers, crop rotation, and other sustainable practices to grow our produce.

Supporting Local Communities

We are proud to be a part of the local community and support local initiatives. We work with local schools to provide educational programs and donate a portion of our profits to local charities and organizations.

HOW WE DO IT

No such thing as bad soil

No such thing as bad soil

No such thing as bad soil

Understanding soil composition is key to organic farming and requires patience.  We pride ourselves as great custodians of our farmland, ensuring a rich composition by using and preserving organic matter.  Soil integrity and structure are easily lost through traditional land preparation of clearing and burning.

Seeds

No such thing as bad soil

No such thing as bad soil

Healthy robust plants are a result of a combination of factors - mainly healthy SEEDS, and a conducive environment

Soil Prep

No such thing as bad soil

Soil Prep

We cleared the land removing only matured foliage and trees which were incidental (fallen and germinated seeds)

No immediate clearing was done, but we left the leaves to form debris and manure into the soil, following which we removed stumps systematically ensuring not to create craters below the soil head.  Soil was then covered to prevent nitrogen loss before planting.
